HOW I GOT HERE
My path to painting has been anything but linear. I began my creative career in London as a graphic designer, later moving across countries and continents with my family - each move offering fresh perspectives and new opportunities to explore a range of creative disciplines. While raising my children and adapting to new cultures, I experimented across genres: designing a range of children’s products that led to a publishing deal, illustrating several New York Times bestselling books for celebrities, painting murals for schools and corporations, and eventually founding a thriving interior design business in Montclair, New Jersey.
After more than a decade of running that business, a quiet restlessness began to stir - a longing to create something more personal, more visceral, and truly my own. A health scare and a major life shift became catalysts that led me to painting. Having never created purely for myself, I was deeply curious to see what my art might look like without a client’s brief, budget, or deadline to guide it. What began as a private act of healing and permission to simply play soon became an all-consuming practice - one that reconnected me to the deepest part of myself, where color, emotion, and mark-making intertwine.
That decision to feed my soul and rediscover my authentic voice opened the door to a new and expansive chapter. With a dedicated studio space and growing international interest in my work, I’ve been able to devote myself fully to painting, teaching, and mentoring other artists. Art has been my medicine, my compass, and my way home and I plan to keep following and sharing its pull for as long as I’m here in this beautiful, unpredictable reality.
